On the first day of week 17 we were in Mexico City. We are going to stay in Mexico for 6 whole weeks! That is one big amount of time in Mexico. Also, um, WWWAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! OOOHHHHHH IT’S SO SAD!!!!!! My poor dad was so sadly sick. OOOHHHHH!!!! Anyway, because my dad was sick mum and I had the day out together. What we did first was go to breaky, then I did some school work, we changed hotels, then we went for a walk around the new area we were staying in for the next 3 nights. And the day still wasn’t over! We then had lunch, and chilled for an hour or two. That night we went to dinner and had more delicios Mexican food. Then we decided to go home have a movie night and get some Oreos. That is one big day.

The following morning was very frustrating because we had to find a good breaky place before the walking tour had started. Luckily we finaly found a place to eat and relax. After a cople of hours we started to head to the walking tour. I was so relieved that we made it on time. We actually had 15 more mins. Then we had begun the tour, and it turned out to be really interesting. I am about to tell you the really cool facts that he told us:
– Mexico City sinks 5 whole centimetres a year!!!!!
– the Aztecs (they were an old culture that existed in Mexico in the 1300s) used to cut off slaves’ heads from other tribes and civilisations and then used them to build a barrier.
I can’t belive they would just cut off a head being so careless and then using it for your own protection. After the tour we went to probably the most delicious lunch ever. It was a torta………. I could nearly scream in public it was so good! Anyway, we than had a chill afternoon. Aaaahhhhh. I love chill afternoons. After the amazing chill afternoon, we went to a…… The most funniest wrestling ever!!! On the way to the wrestling match there was a thunder storm, and we also had my first black-out!!! You nearly couldn’t see anything. Anyway, after we got in the wrestling match and got dinner the match had started. The most funniest thing about the wrestling was how when one of the people push someone to a corner and then do a little, SLAP! It was so hilarious!!! Ooh and what made it even more funny, was how they were dressed in really werid outfits!! Some of them were just in unddies, some were in chicken outfits and so many more funny clothes!!! Then after the wrestling match we went to bed.

The next day we went to a park. In the park we went to a castle where presidents lived. In the castle there was heaps of cool art and rooms. I nearly wish I lived there (only if there were servants)!!!!! Anyway, it had so many big and fancy rooms, some of them with fancy dining rooms, and even some with fancy studies! There were also some really cool Mexican statues. After seeing the most fanciest house we went to the tortas place!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! They tasted even better because I was so hungry. We then had a CHILL AFTERNOON!!!!! I still had to do school but. Then we had dinner and went to bed.

WHOOP WHOOP, WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YYYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ooopps- forgot you were there, sorry. Anyway, I was so exited because we were going…. Umm….. Sorry I’ve just got to check what we did, umm lets see here… Ooh yare… we were going…. Hot air ballooning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the most coolest thing ever!!!!! The hot air balloon we were going to go on was a red one with a falcon on it. Then we were off in the air. It was sooo cool. On the hot air balloon we were heading to the pyramids where the Aztecs killed people. Luckily they don’t do that anymore. Phew! Anyway, we then had breaky. It was very good. Half way when we were eating, a Mariachi Band started to play music. The Mariachi Band is a very Mexican band with, guitars, a singer and so many more instumants. Ooh and someone in our group just met a stray dog and then decided to bring it back to where they lived!!!!!
Anyway, we then sadly left the ballooning place and left to the next place we were going to stay at for the next few nights.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s my birthday!!!!!! YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!! Finaly I am 9 years old!!!!!!!! Anyway, for my birthday I woke up with a bag next to me. And it was one of my presents!! Inside of the bag was a packet of Oreos, Hubba-bubba, new gold headphones, and Fanta! I especially liked the Fanta and headphones. But there was still one more present, and this present was not in the bag, it was a thing that you do. This thing that I also got was……… Going to 6 Flags (Six Flags is a theme park with the biggest and scariest rides ever!!!) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first ride of the day was the ride that has a part of it as the highest part of the whole entire park! Wow. I can’t tell which ride we went on in order, but I can tell you the ones that we went on (every ride in the park except the baby rides and one ride where you spin nearly the whole time). After the big one with a high point, we also went on one called “The Boomarang”. It was called The Boomarang because it had three loop-the-loops, ooh and it also went fowards but then it went backwards!!!!! I nearly had a panic attack it was so scary!!!! Another one we went on was one that was like a big swing that nearly does a 360!! Then we went on one that was a swing and it went so high that you could see the whole park!! It was very freaky. Ooh, and I definately can’t forget The Joker one. The Joker one is this cool ride were while you’re on the coaster but it’s different because you were spinning while riding! It also had sharp turns, and I do not like sharp turns at all. Then I saved best for last, which was my absolute favourite, it was one were they cling you into bars and then it pulls you up and then they go “uno, dose, tres” and then you let go. I finally got to fly!!!!! It was the most funnest ride ever. Anyway, after the ride I called a friend from school (Eliana) then sadly had the last ride of the day. Sad. At least it was the very fun ride where it took you to the highest point of the park. That night I couldn’t get to sleep because I was so exited for what was going to happen next.

On Saturday we went for a walk around Coyoacan. For breaky I had a churro and a cup of piña (pineapple). It was so yummy, especially the churro. I got the piña from the markets. Then on the way back we stopped to see Frida Kahlo’s house! It was all pure blue everywhere. We then decided to stop at a really nice café, that had the most delicious bread ever. It was chapala (it was so good I had 3 big pieces!). If you have never tried it before, it is a doughy piece of bread that has flour on top. I know right, it’s so good.

Then we headed to the canals. But we waited for a little while because we tried to look for other gringos, and to our surprise we only saw like 3 gringos! Luckily we found 2 gringos to go on a boat with. Ooh, and if your wandering what a canal is, it is where the whole of Mexico used to be all a river. Which would mean they didn’t have roads or cars! So their transportation would be boats. That was what we went through. And it was so cool and fun! Then after we started to head back home, and watch The Simpsons.

Fun facts:
What is the biggest pyramid in Mexico?
Answer: The Great Pyramid of Cholula in Puebla is the largest pyramid in Mexico, and the world! 25 metres high but 315 metres wide.
What is the biggest drop on a roller coaster?
Answer: 418 feet is the highest drop on a roller coaster on the ride of Kingda Ka at 6 Flags in New Jersey!
