Week 11: The Norwegian Gem & New York City

On the first day of week 11, wow week 11 already that is impressive. It feels like it’s only week one but it’s actually week 11! Anyway on the first day of week 11 we were still on board the Norwegian Gem cruise.

On the first morning we were in the new country called Puerto Rico which was really fun. I was a tour guide for the whole day and I had to take my parents around the whole town. The houses in Puerto Rico were as beautiful as the buildings in Cartagena, our hometown.

This is so so terribly sad, in Puerto Rico I got arrested and I went to jail. Mum and dad called it a replacement of kids club but this kids club was not better one bit. After a few years I got to get out of jail and I got to continue my tour around the city. We went shopping for Valentine’s Day after walking through all of the beautiful streets, then we got back on the boat, looking forward to go to kids club.

On the second day of week 11 we were in Dominican Republic. There we went waterfall sliding and to a rock jumping place, that is all of my favourite things to do!! There were two jumps and five slides. I did the second biggest rock jump of my life! It was really fun 🤩. After we did the tour we went to a beach club that had a really big pool. Then we headed back to the ship.

On Wednesday and Thursday we had sea days and I was very sad because this was our last days on the cruise boat. I was very excited for New York but sad to get off the cruise boat. Anyway, I went to the kids club and we did a few trivia matches. We were doing trivia because we got an activity card and when you finish the activity card you got a prize! Then we went to the spa and I went back to kids club again. After I did kids club we watched the sunset and had a bit of chill time. Looking forward to seeing New York City!!!!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! I don’t want to leave you!!! I don’t want to leave the boat!!!!! Ooopps, sorry didn’t know you were there. Anyway I was sooo sad on Friday because we were leaving the amazing, most spectacular, bested cruise boat in the whole entire world! But the good thing was that we were on the first day of New York. we first went on the subway which is a type of train station. On the subway we were heading to Brooklyn! For lunch we had New York pizza! The difference between New York pizza and Sydney pizza is that New York pizza is Infiniti the size. After that we were sooo full.

At night time we went to a show some of you might know called Harry Potter! I know right, we went to a Broadway show in New York City called Harry Potter! Sadly I was so tired I nearly couldn’t keep my eyes open for much longer. 👀😴 Then when the show had finished we went to sleep 💤. YAY!

On Tuesday we went to a museum called “MET” and it had heaps of cool information about Egypt. I will tell you some of the cool information right now:

1. Once there was a boy where his parents kept a pot of wine for him when he had grown up but the pot of wine was so old that it was 250 years old!

2. A type of gun about 355 years ago had a very unique type of style, the style that it had was made by a clock maker because it had a spiral at the end of it. What was also unique about it was that it had to places for a bullet so that it could shoot two bullets at a time!

HaHaHa 🤣! I tricked you so good!! Anyway we also went through an American topic and an Asian topic. We also past some really famous artists like Van Gough, Picasso and so many more cool artists!

After the museum we went to ice skating, which was really fun! It was especially really pretty at night when all the city lights were on. Then after a long time ice skating we went to bed.

On our last night in New York we went to a … drum roll please… basketball game where they do cool tricks like flips and that kind of stuff!!!! It was so much fun! The funniest thing about it was when we were at half way the teams mascot did some really funny things that I will show you a video of.

Then we went to bed. Looking forward to week 12!!
