Week 21: Valladolid & Tulum

On the first day of week 21 we drove to Valladolid. We just had a chill day, and it was also the afternoon when we arrived. So, when we had done school and had dinner we went to the middle of town to a center square where all fun and exciting things happen. But what had happened that night we were in the main square was that there were Mayans acting out traditional dances! It was really cool.

Then the next day we went to Chichen Itza! If you are wondering what Chichen Itza is, it is a really famous pyramid in Valladolid. The pyramid was as big as 30 elephants standing on top of each other! It. Was. M.A.S.S.I.V.E! And one of my favourite things there was, how if you clap in a certain spot it would make a sound like a laser! It was super cool. We then started to head out to another destination at a cenote! The cenote was beautiful. But the only problem was the fish. They were a bit anoying, but other than that it was really really nice. And then that afternoon we chilled.

On Wednsday we checked out of our hotel and left to Tulum. In Tulum we went to another cenote, which was absolutely beautiful. And there’s more, it had a waterfall coming out of a hole and the hole had a sun reflection through the centre! Then after the cenote we went to this place that had the most delicious tortas I have ever had! And when I said that it was a big deal, because the ones in Mèxico City were delicious, but these were a million times better than those ones! And from all of that talking it means these tortas were the best. End. Of. Story. (Literally it is the end of this story).

On Thursday we just had a chill day. I’m going to do a list on the things that we did that day below👇:

1. chilled

6…..

And so on.

Vamos a ver aquí, oh aquí vamos! ¡UPS! Luego, mi papá y yo fuimos al campamento. ¡Y fue lo que yo llamo INCREÍBLE!

Lets see here, oh here we go! So on Friday I… went camping with my dad! But before all of that we went to a cenote! And it was so amazing I could die. The water was clear as, it was in a cave, there was a zoo next door. What I would call it, it was pure luxury. It’s just the only thing that wasn’t good was the fish and the hard rocks on your feet, but other than that it was amazing! Then after the cenote dad mum and I went to the amazing torta place before saying a sad goodbye to mum.☹️😢🍔! Oops! Sorry, I didn’t mean to put the hamburger emoji there🙊😬! WHOOPS! Then me and my dad went to the campsite. And it was what I call AMAZING!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Oops, sorry I was just acting out what it would be like going on a zip line! And we weren’t just going to act it out, we were actually going to do it!!! So we were on our way to adventure paradise on the tour bus with some other people. And then we were there, in the most coolest place I have ever seen. We were in Selvatica. First I saw 5 macaws, then I saw people zip lining, ATV driving, and so much more. It was awsome. What we did first was take photos and hold the macaws, the macaws were sooooo heavy I nearly droped one🤫! Then the next activity was… ZIP LINING!!!!!!!!!!!

YYYYYAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!! First we had to learn how to zip line, and if it wasn’t for that lesson, I would have come home to Australia with a fake thumb! So I was very grateful for the lesson. If you want to learn how to zip line it’s below👇:

1. do not put your hands in front of the zip line, or otherwise you would have 4 or 0 fingers, ok? Good

2. you have to only put one hand on the wire and one on the string that is saving you from falling

3. do not put your head under the wire when you are zip lining, or otherwise your head would be on fire from the sparks. Now that’s a very imortant one, so don’t disobey that one.

Luckily none of those things happend to me, but it’s always good to know that just in case. Me, my dad and a stranger were the only ones who went upside down. And if you like roller coasters that have loop-the-loops, you would LOVE this soooooo much (never wear bikinis, if you do it really hurts🤕)! Then after all 9 zip lines we were at the last one. And guess what happend? The last one, you zip lined into water!!! You may have gotten soaked, but it was super duper fun! Then sadly we had to leave the zip lines, but at least we were leaving to go to the next activity called the jungle coaster.

The jungle coaster was this ride were you would hold onto a bar that would swing all over the place and it would go up and down and up and down and…. so on. And it made these really weird screeching noises when you had sharp turns! It may have been my least favourite, but it was still really cool.

Then the 4th activity was the bungee swing. The bungee swing was similar to the superman ride at 6 Flags. It was a swing, you would fly, it was super similar. But what’s even cooler, is how you could go upside down! It was just a bit difficult to pull your body up and then tangle your feet around the string, but at some point we got there. 😃👍👌.

Then we went to the next activity which was… The super flight. The super flight was this ride were you would get clipped into these pieces of string, and then you would let go of the platform and WOOSH! You would be flying in the sky, and then at the end you would have to put your head down while crossing your arms, because there would be a big BANG!!! And your head would wobble depending on your weight.

HE IS DEAD, BUT HE ISN’T!

Then the next ride was not a ride, it was riding an ATV! YAY! The ATV was what I call F. U. N. We got dirty and dusty with our cool blue goggles on, jumping and skidding rocks, it was so much fun. When we got off of the ATV we looked like pigs. I looked at dad and in his beard it looked like Mr. Twit (a character in a book that has the most dirtiest beard ever!)! Even though we got super dirty it was still the time of our lives.

We then had a nice and cool wash off in a cenote that had zip lining, rock jumps and rope activities in the water. It was most definatly my favourite cenote I had ever been in! And that was also dad and my 5th cenote in the trip!

WWWWAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! I DON’T WANT TO LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!! NNNOOOOO!!!!!!!! Oops, sorry I forgot I was doing a blog! Sorry. Sadly it was the end of camping and the week. But we were all excited to what was going to happen in the next week.
