Week 44: Jericoacoara & Pipa Beach

On the first day of week 44 we went to a town called Jericoacoara (Jery-qua-qua-ra). That is very hard to say so the locals just call it Jeri 👍. To get there we had to fly and drive. The flight wasn’t so fun but the drive definitely made up for it. It was so much fun because it was on sand dunes. There was only sand and lots of water. We were in Northern Brazil. Jeri wasn’t so good at first, but after 3 hours there, we knew that we were going to love it. It had this cool beach with so much good vibe and so many people playing volleyball 🏐. It was so cool. The water felt cold and warm at the same time. It was so nice. There was loud music and lots of ice cream, I was certain that I was going to fall in love with this town 💛🏖️.

The next day we went to the beach, got beach chairs in the hot sun, went to town on coconut water, swam, ate, get more coconut water, and swim again. We had so many coconut waters that they ran out because of us 🥥! It was so much fun. At our hotel it was so windy, but at this beach it felt like you were in a fake world with no air 💨. We stayed at the beach alllll day! The sun was so hot so we got a little bit burnt 🥵. We had to put on sun cream every 2 hours it was so hot! It was crazy. We were still there for sunset and it was amazing. It looked like there had been an explosion in the colour factory 🟥🟧🟨🟩🟦🟪. It was so beautiful. Dad and I tried to jump up in the water to try and see more of the sun. Dad said that he could see it!

The next day we did the exact same things as the day before. We went to the beach, got lots of cocos, went in the water a lot, and ate. The sun was so beautiful when it started to go to sleep 💤. I called one of my friends from school (Hazzie) and had lots of fun 👧🏽. It was another excellent day.

The next day we were sadly leaving Jeri 😭. But we luckily got another hour there to say our goodbyes 👋. We had an amazing time in Jeri, so it was very very sad to say goodbye. In that last hour we had there we got 3 açai bowls and a quick swim. It was very nice until the hour was over and sadness had arrived. We had to have…. A travel day 🗺️🧳! We tried making it fun by just simply watching movies all day, it worked 🎬. Then after a nine hour drive we had to go on an overnight bus ride to a place called Pipa.

At Pipa we went shopping for a few hours then headed off to the beach. The beach was very very nice. We got a soccer ball and played kick. In Pipa we were also staying in a 5 star apartment! And it was lovely. Especially how we were going to be there for 3 nights! It was so nice. This day was very similar to the day before, it’s just we did not do any more travelling. We just chilled at the beach for most of the day. It was really nice. We were by far living our life 😎.

The next day we went to another beach that was 2 km away from our apartment. We went to this beach to see dolphins 🐬. So our eyes were peeled for any sign of a dolphin or two 🍌. And our eyes were definitely working. We ended up seeing nearly 20 dolphins! It was very cool. Then mum did some sun baking and dad and I played in the water.

The next day we went to a different beach. At this beach we played a tennis game, soccer and lots of swimming 🎾⚽️🏊‍♀️. This tennis game was very fun, it wasn’t exactly tennis because the ball was not allowed to hit the ground. It was very difficult but we did get there after a day. We tried to get all of Pipa into one day because we were sadly leaving the day after ☹️. Then before we went to bed we watched the movie Rio 2. It was awesome. We had ice cream and popcorn and a very comfortable bed 🍨🍿🛏️. It was an amazing week 😊.

Fun facts

What language do Brazilians speak?

Answer: Portuguese. It was very hard to learn a whole different language to speak 😂.

Is açai good for you?

Answer: YES! Açai is amazing for you. The berry that it is made out of is more healthy than cranberrys, raspberrys, blackberrys, strawberrys, or even blueberrys 🫐🍓!

Where are dolphins most populated 🐬?

Answer: Southern California, USA. We went there and saw none!
