Week 45: Fernando de Noronha & Rio de Janeiro

On the first day of week 45 we were flying to a very cool place that you have probably never heard of. We went to…. Fernando de Noronha! 🦗. Haha. If you’re wondering what Fernando de Noronha is, it is an island that has the best beach in the world! Not a big deal really 😂. When we had arrived we first checked into our hostel, got unpacked and then went to the beach. It was so nice there. It had beautiful water, soft sand, and the water temp was perfect. I wish we could have been there from the start of the day. When it started to get dark we went back to our hostel and went to bed 😴.

The next day it was mum’s birthday 🥳. Not a bad place to be for your birthday. Anyway, after celebrating we went to the best beach in the world called Sancho. To get there we had to walk a km, go down 2 huge ladders and do some more walking. At the bottom it felt like we should have done 10 x more than what we did to get there, it was soooo nice. The first thing I did was run, not run as in scared, but as in the water was a candy store with lots of mango. It was amazing water. It was the clearest, nicest, and by far the most beautiful water I have ever seen in my whole. Entire. LIFE! It was the most amazing water ever. I loved it so much that I stayed in the water for 7 hours! I am not even exaggerating.

Then we very sadly had to leave. It actually wasn’t that sad because we were going to another awesome beach. We went there for sunset with a Fanta and Fanta Mentos. Then we got in our fancy clothes and headed off to a really fancy restaurant for dinner. It was one amazing day.

The next day we rented a buggy from a local in Fernando. It was an aqua one with no windows, no seat belts and there were 2 seats in the back that had my name written all over it. We drove to 5 whole beaches! They were all so nice. One of them may have had more clear water than the best beach in the world! Then mum made us walk across 4 beaches. Luckily the last one was very beautiful so we were going to go there the next day. It was really nice driving around in a cool vehicle. Our next destination was a really nice lunch spot with a view of the ocean and lots of HUGE rocks 🌊🪨. Then we headed off to Sancho Beach again. And it hadn’t changed a bit. It was so so nice. It was so refreshing and beautiful. When the sun shined the water looked even prettier. It was one magnificent day.

The next day we got a taxi ride to an amazing beach. It was really nice. It had some amazing clear water and lots of cool fish. Then after that beach we went to a different one for 8 hours! This water was extraordinarily clear. I could have sworn that I could see dad from 10 metres away under water. It was so nice. I wish we stayed there all day, oh wait, we did 😂. I bet I was in the water for 7 hours. It was so nice I couldn’t just go in for 1 hour. In that other hour I had out of the water I got some sea snails from rocks at the beach. It felt very weird on my skin as they crawled on me 🤢. I still liked it. It was an amazing day.

The next day we just chilled in the morning because it was raining outside so we didn’t think it was going to be very enjoyable at the beach in the rain. I watched a show called That Girl Lay Lay (I highly recommend). Then when it stopped raining we went back to the best beach in the world, Sancho. Sadly the waves were dangerously huge so we had to stick with the sand. To make it fun I made a barrier to protect mum and dad from the ginormous waves that could reach the rock maybe 20 metres away from the water! It was crazy. Then I made another fun game with the erosion with the sand. If you stood on the erosion you would instantly fall. It was very fun 🤩.

The next day we were very sadly leaving Fernando de Noronha and were on our way to a place called Rio. This is the place I was talking about in the last blog post when I said the movies Rio and Rio 2. This place was very cool for 3 reasons:

1. It has a wonder of the world called Christ the Redeemer (we are going there!)

2. There is a beach on one side and a big city on the other.

3. The beach here is one of the most famous beaches in the world!

Anyway, my point is Rio is a very cool city. The apartment we were staying in was sooo nice. I would even call it a five star hotel without a pool. The person who lives there left us snacks, 3 packets of chips, 8 beers for mum and dad, and there was a hammock. It was one of the best apartments we have stayed in on this trip.

The next day we went to a wonder of the world called Christ the Redeemer 🗽. If you don’t know what that is it is this huge statue of Jesus on the top of a mountain in Rio. Sadly when we got up there it was pouring rain 🌧️. We got so wet. It was so wet that we only spent 5 minutes there! It was also very, very cloudy so we nearly couldn’t see the statue ☁️! Then we went home and chilled for the afternoon watching my favourite show. It was one amazing day 😃.

The next day we mostly just chilled. Other that chilling we went to a huge mall. I bet it had 200 stores! It was crazy. Mum and dad got new white shoes and I got new scissors because an airport took my scissors for a ridiculous reason. Anyway, for the WHOLE afternoon we chilled playing my favourite game, Roblox. For the whole day it just rained non stop. It was still a great day.

The next day it wasn’t raining so we savoured the rest of the time we had in Rio when the weather wasn’t terrible. We went out for acai, walked on the beach, and went for a nice night walk on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. It was amazing.

Fun facts

Dad does not think that this fun fact is true. But it is my blog so lets just go with this answer. Ok 👌🏼?

What is the most famous beach in Australia?

Answer: Bondi Beach in Sydney. I live near there 😃.
