Week 46: Santiago & Santa Cruz

On the first day of week 46 we were leaving Rio and going on a 5 hour flight to a new country called Chilè. Chilè is a place with lots of wine regions and lots of fancy people. I don’t think we would fit in that well 😂. Anyway, Chilè was awesome. We were going to stay in very nice places in Chilè such as 5 star hotels, houses, and so much more. From the second we had stepped into the 5 star hotel I was in my happy place. I knew that I was going to love Chilè.

The next day we were enjoying the views on our road trip to a cute town called Santa Cruz. On the way we got to stop at 2 wineries. The first one dad said that it may have been the best cabernet he has ever had. And his uncle owns a vineyard. Then at the second one there was the cutest dog that I patted most of the time we were at that winery. Then when we had arrived at our house we got to choose which bedroom we wanted to sleep in. That’s right, there were multiple bedrooms! It was one awesome day.

The next day we had an excellent sleep at our very nice house. Then we headed off to another vineyard that was really really cool. It had so many vines and it was a huge area. Mum and dad loved the wine and bought it because they loved it so much! Then we went to the next winery which was even better! It had a playground, a wine cafe, a museum about wine, and so much more. It was so cool. This was most certainly one wonderful day.

The next day we went to even MORE wineries! Mum and dad must really like wine 😂🍷. This winery was very especiàl (special) because it was named the 7th best vineyard in the entire world. At this winery we did a tour. On our tour there was two other people from England. First we went on a cool truck to get around the vineyard and see the winery. Then mum and dad got a wine tasting and they absolutely adored it. I dipped my finger in a few times 🤫. It was awesome. Then we drove to a really nice place for dinner. Dad and I split a big meal while dad was also sharing a huge meal with mum. I got a really yummy steak and mum and dad got a whole cauliflower! It was an amazing day.

The next day we went to this awesome winery. The fog in the background made it look even cooler. It was really grand because the richest man in Chilè owned it! It had a restaurant on a cliff with a view of the vineyard, a cellar with at least 500 wines, and a tasting area with an awesome view. It was all so amazing. We also had a magnificent tour through all of the winery. Then after the tour we headed off to the restaurant to have an awesome meal. The reviews were very right. This place was amazing.

The next day we went to 2 wineries. We didn’t spend much time at the first one but it was still really nice. Mum and dad got a few bottles of wine while I was drawing pictures of Jack-o-lanterns and black cats. At the next winery we went to we had lunch. The food there was exceptional. Dad and I shared a brisket thing while mum was enjoying her own meal. Then before we went to bed we started to watch a movie called Coco. It was an awesome day 🍷😃.

The next day we drove for two hours to get to this awesome place in The Andes. The mountains had snow on them, there was an icy lake in front of us, and the sky was blue. Not a bad place to have a picnic. Mum packed some food so we decided to have a little picnic in the boot of our car. It was fabulous. Then we went to a winery that my parents said had ok wine. On the way back from the bathroom dad spotted some adorable ducklings 🚻🐥They were so cute. It was an amazing day.
