Week 47: Mendoza & Bariloche

On the first day of week 47 we had a 9 hour bus ride to a place called Mendoza. Mendoza has the best wine in Argentina and lots of cool wineries. After nine hours traveling in a bus we had finally arrived in winery city. When we arrived it was a little bit late so we went to bed.

For the next three days we did wine tasting (mum and dad did), make fires at home, see an identical statue of Christ the Redeemer, and eating. My favourite part of every day was sitting at a fire. We had an awesome time in Mendoza πŸ‘.

The next day we went on a 2 hour plane ride to Bariloche (Ba-ri-lo-ch-e). Bariloche is a place with lots of chocolate and so many cool houses. When we first arrived we went shopping for warm clothes for the place we were going to go to in 2 weeks 😱. Anyway, after finding some of the warmest clothes we drove to the cool house we were going to stay in for the next 4 DAYS! Then after unpacking and getting all comfortable en nuestra nueva casa fuimos a otra casa con una hermosa familia que mi mamΓ‘ y mi papΓ‘ vieron hace 12 aΓ±os (in our new house we went to another house with a beautiful family that my mum and dad saw 12 years ago!). We had to drive 1 hour and it was so worth it. The parents had three little babies and a great meal. We had 4 pizzas with a huge dessert of apple crumble and, of course, chocolate. It was really good. But then after 3 hours we headed home and went to bed while listening to the snow pound on the roof ❄️. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how cold it was. That day it got as cold as 2’C! That’s pretty cold πŸ₯Ά.

The next day we went on a road trip to different view points and a brewery. The first view point was amazing. You could only see white! It was like Christ the Redeemer, cloudy, and cold πŸ˜‚. When traveling in the car we got a big surprise by a snow ball hitting our front window of the car! Mum and I screamed very loud 😱. Then after a huge surprise we had arrived at the brewery. It was very cold and nice at the same time. Mum and dad accidentally (πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰) ordered a huge serving of fries. No complaints. And they also got 2 burgers. Then we went home and went to bed 😴.

The next day we were about to go to a pace called the 7 Lakes, but when we tried to open the car door it wouldn’t budge. It automatically locked with the keys inside when dad tried to warm it up for us to go. Then we couldn’t drive anywhere. We spent the rest of the day chilling at home. It was awesome. After playing my favourite game, Roblox, we went to bed.

The next day we finally got to go on the road trip to the seven lakes. They were super beautiful, especially with the snow capped mountains in the background. The 3 hour drive was so worth the view. There was also a little town with a few people and A LOT of chocolate stores. We all got a chocolate each, I obviously ordered a flake, mum ordered a dark chocolate bar and dad got a mint chocolate. They were delicious πŸ˜‹πŸ€€. Then after a good chunk of time it the town we went back home and straight to bed.

  1. I think Uncle Els and I would love Mendoza……all that wine (1200 wineries) to sample! haha Bariloche looked so beautiful especially all the chocolates you consumed! YummmmmooooooI love when the adults “accidently” order fries, burgers and delicious food – you should convince the adults to do that more often hehehe Love you! Aunty Halz xx
