On the first day of week 39 we flew to a new country called Peru. But before we arrived we had to go on 2 flights that were both 2 hours. Then after the 2 flights we had arrived in Peru! I was sooooo tired because it was already 12 am when we were there! It was technically 1 am because we had a 1 hour difference between Galápagos and Peru.
The next day I woke up at 9 am! I was so tired. For breakfast we went to a really nice place. We got a croissant, the most yummiest sandwich ever, and a macaron!
Then we went shopping and got a few groceries and I got a really nice pair of trackies. Then we went to a really special lunch…. We went to fine dining!!! We got octopus and calamari 🤤! It was amazing. It tasted so delicious. Then for dinner we did even MORE fine dining!!! It was crazy! But this time we got pesto pasta, a salad and LOTS of bread. It was soooo yummy! Sadly, the time had come to go to bed.

The next day I woke up to a change of plans on what we were meant to do that day. I also woke up at 9 am AGAIN! Anyway, our change of plans was, we were going to fly to the Amazon!!! And it was only 4 hours later and we were in the Amazon. It was crazy! It was only a 2 hour flight, so it felt like we were in the Amazon in 2 seconds! The only downside was the weather. It was sooo hot. When I was trying to go to sleep, I couldn’t because I was sooo tired. It was a big day.
The next day we were going to go on a tour through the Amazon. But first we had to go on a boat ride, walk 2 km, and take another boat ride. The prize was a beautiful place in the middle of the Amazon jungle. Then we had lunch and chilled. Then after about 2 hours we went on a tour through the jungle. We saw lots of animals, we saw 2 long caterpillars (Colors: red, black, yellow. Species: caterpillar. Story: I was just looking and walking normally, and then I see this little thing crawling next to me. At first I thought it was a coral snake but then I looked closer and it was this massive caterpillar!), termites (Color: red. Species: termite. Story: We found this termite nest and then we put our hand on top of the nest and then all of your hand would be covered in termites! It was crazy.), grubs (Color: white. Species: don’t know. Story: I ate a bug 4 months ago in Mexico so I think it’s about time I have another one. And I did, l ate a grub! I know, shame on me. Taste: It tasted like coconut!), Amazon guinea pigs (I have no idea what they are but I promise we saw them!), monkey. The sounds were like uno milliones (one million) dogs barking at you at the same time. It was soo loud.

Then after the most amazing tour, when it was about 7:00 pm we had dinner and then we did a night boat tour! There was soo many nocturnal animals. There were caymans (caymans are a species of crocodile), capybaras (there are like wombats! Latino Wombats! ), sloth, bats and jumping fish. It was an amazing day.

The next day we did similar things to the day before. Except we swam with pink dolphins and went fishing for piranhas (piranas)!!! It was awesome. When we were on a boat ride we saw porpoising pink dolphins! It was crazy. And then the tour guide said we could jump out of the boat into the water with the dolphins! Then after that we went paranha fishing. For fishing rods we used a stick and some string, then we would put some chicken on the hook and then it would be eaten by the paranhas! I caught 0️⃣, mum caught 2, and dad caught 3. Then we would throw the paranha out into the river and then an hawk would dive down and eat it! It was such a cool experience.

Our next activity was a night tour through the jungle. We saw LOTS of spiders, My favourite spider was the tarantula! That’s right we saw a tarantula! It was amazing. We also saw 2 massive frogs. There was some really cool animals but my favourite animal was definitely the tarantula.

The next day we did a little walk, saw lots of animals and went canoeing! It was spectacular. We walked through a little jungle, with lots of trees, plants, and birds. On one of the walks we did, we were hunting a really cool bird with a mohawk! We found it! Then at night time we went canoeing though a river with birds, frogs and bats. It was really cool.

The next day we did nearly the exact same thing as the day before. We did a walk, saw lots of animals but we didn’t go canoeing. We also went camping in the middle of the Amazon! So we had to set up tents, start a fire, and tell stories. It was awesome.

The next day was a very sad day because we were leaving the campsite! 5 days went sooo quick. I can’t keep up! Before we went there was still a whole day we filled in. We did a walk and saw lots of pocket monos (monkeys). Pocket monkeys are the smallest type of monkey in the world! And we saw a baby one, so it was even smaller. It was sooo cute ☺️. Then we went on a boat ride to look for capybaras and to look at the stars. We saw lots of stars and a pregnant capybara! It was crazy. We also saw heaps of caymans and bats. It was an amazing day. The the rest is for you to find out in the next post 😮.
